ABOUT OUR HONOURARY DOCTORATE DEGREE
Honorary degrees are conferred honoris causa, a Latin term meaning “for the sake of honor.” Honorary degrees are not Ph.D.s, nor do they entitle the recipient to the same professional privileges as individuals who have earned degrees.
The Honorary Doctorate Degree is strictly religious title with no academic standing, is conferred solely upon distinguished Christian Leaders and to someone who has or has no prior connection with the institution, who have made significant contributions in their respective fields or for the expansion of God’s Kingdom.
The title Honorary Professor (Hon. Prof.) is strictly religious title with no academic standing, is equivalent in standing to Professor, this means that the degree is bestowed as an honor rather than through the completion of certain academic requirements. The Title may be conferred upon a selective basis to distinguished individuals in the ministry who merit exceptional recognition for substantial achievements and distinction in a field and for their notable contributions to the Kingdom of God or those who are able to demonstrate a national/international profile for innovation, Christian publication and enterprise in Teaching supplemented by a record of research achievement or highly ranked Christian scholar publications.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
You can apply yourself or nominate somebody for the award.
CRITERIA:
1. Be 35 years of age or older
2. Photocopy of license/ordination certificate(s).
3. Verify minimum of 15 years of ministerial experience.
4. Prepare a minimum one-page resume of your work - names, places, dates, etc.
5. Complete a doctrinal statement of salvation, the Trinity, the Holy Spirit and water baptism
6. Provide 3 letters of recommendation:
- Recommender must have known applicant for more than 5 years
- Must be on the recommender’s letterhead
- Letters must be from one public/community figure, one established minister and/or one christian/educator
- Must contain number of years known and confirmation of resume details.
- A completed Online Application form.
7. Acceptable forms of identification: e.g., Valid National ID, Driver's License, or International Passport.
8. One copy of a recent photograph (passport size)
9. One full length recent photograph. (Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance)

The title Honorary Doctor of Christian Education (D.CEd), is strictly religious title with no academic standing, is awarded primarily to an individual with the highest level of academics and spirituality in the ministry who have made an academic and professional contribution that promotes development in christian educational for the extension of God’s Kingdom, and who have made profound and enduring contributions to scholarship, culture, and improved quality of life in society at large

1. Must be at least 30 years of age.
2. Photocopy of license/ordination certificate(s).
3. Served 5 years or more in society in some form of christian service, or christian educational.
4. Prepare a minimum one-page resume of your work - names, places, dates, etc.
5. Letters of recommendation from two other legally licensed or ordained ministers.
6. A completed Online Application form.
7. Acceptable forms of identification: e.g., Valid National ID, Driver's License, or International Passport.
8. One copy of a recent photograph (passport size)
9. One full length recent photograph. (Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance)

The title Honorary Doctor of Sacred Literature (DSL) is strictly religious title with no academic standing, is in recognition of superior accomplishment in Biblical Studies and Ministry or scholarship and other merits.
An honoris causa to recognize one’s lifetime of excellence in a particular theological, ministry, cultural, or other notable contributions to the Kingdom of God.

MOMBI welcomes the opportunity to receive Recommendations and Nominations of persons in the ministry who deserve the Special Recognition and Honor of receiving the Honorary Doctor of Philosophy.
The title Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is often awarded in recognition of one's life experiences. It is denoted by the letters "ph.d.", which is an abbreviation for "Honorary Doctor of Philosophy" is strictly religious title with no academic standing, this means that is bestowed as an honor rather than through the completion of certain academic requirements.
CRITERIA:
1. Ten years of experience in a particular field
2. A completed Online Application form.
3. Acceptable forms of identification: e.g., Valid National ID, Driver's License, or International Passport.
4. One copy of a recent photograph (passport size) in addition to the one affixed to the student profile page.
5. One reference other than family members
6. Autobiographical Statement (300 words) – and reasons for desiring the Ph.D.
7. Prepare a 4-5 page Dissertation on one of the following topics:

♦ Heaven and Hell
♦ The Five Fold Ministry
♦ Evangelism
♦ Youth Ministries
♦ Or, if the applicant has completed any written work, such as a book, booklet, or an outstanding article, please submit a copy to us.

If these requirements of the Honorary Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) are too much for your schedule, you might wish to receive the theological equivalent of the Ph.D., the Doctor of Theology --D.Th. Or you may wish to pursue a Doctor of Divinity or Doctor of Ministry degree from MOMBI.
If you are a teacher, "preacher", spiritual healer, or independent scholar, researcher, or speaker in the field of religion and spirituality, including emerging, alternative, esoteric, or modern spirituality, you may be perfectly suited to our honored religious doctoral degrees.
These are time honored religious doctoral degrees which take less time and have lower tuition fees, but still allow you to attach Dr. to your name and letters after your name (post-nominal letters).

Optional Fees
Except if you want your honorary certificate in hardcopy, is then available for an additional fee below. A hard copy refers to a physical version of your official honorary certificate in hard copy format. The hardcopy award pack contain: award certificate that contains the signatures of MOMBI officers, with a legal stamp and embossed Seal of the Institution (not computer generated seals), Certificate Holder and Letter Conferring Honorary Award printed on premium paper on MOMBI headed paper inside customized envelope of the Institution.
