PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Theological Studies PhD degree program is to be distinguished from other PhD degrees by their focus on theological approaches to the histories, communities, practices, beliefs, and ethical values of Christian institutions and traditions (and the institutions and traditions of other faiths, resources permitting); and by their intention to prepare students wishing to enhance their knowledge and competence in teaching and research and to contribute to scholarship in a specialized area of theological studies.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry, focused on bringing missional renewal and impact to the student’s ministry setting and to equip students for vocations of teaching and research in ministry and for the scholarly enhancement of ministerial practice.

The Ph.D. program provides Christian education for pastors, chaplains, denominational leaders, authors, teachers and researchers in theological colleges and universities.
